Sub-assembly & Testing

In the sub-assembly phase, parts are assembled into the final product. At each of Sechrist’s assembly stations, testing and calibration is also conducted
to verify the quality and performance of the products.

Our chambers also receive an extra step via pressure testing witnessed by A.S.M.E. During the pressure tests, each chamber is subjected to 1.5 times the design pressure. For example, for the Sechrist 3200 is designed for 32 PSI, for the test it is pressurized to 53 PSI for an hour. An A.S.M.E. inspector witnesses the pressure and leak test, and then authorizes each and every cylinder for use.

Final acceptance testing is performed and tested against our rigorous internal standards. Then, the chamber is cleaned, detailed and wrapped for safety during shipping. All of the documents that accompany the chamber are approved by Sechrist Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance departments. Only then is the chamber ready to ship to our customer.

Sechrist takes great pride in the manufacturing process as well as the shipping process. All Sechrist chambers are packed in a medical device protection container before sending to our customer’s facility.
